Of the students enrolled nationwide in the Fall 2021 law school class, only 8% of law students identified as Black or African-American. 
A review of the Fall 2020 U.S. law school admissions cycle noted that Black and African-American law school applications decreased from the previous year by 4.9%.

Black JD offers a simple, informative, and inspiring solution. To increase the number of Black and Brown students successfully applying and graduating from law school, students and supporters are granted access to a plethora of resources through a membership.
